Dr Irfan FarooqueSkills lab

Skill laboratories offer a 'mistake forgiving' training environment and help ensure all students acquire the necessary techniques and are properly assessed before practicing on real patients. A skills lab is being set up at KMDC in the memory of Dr Muhammed Irfan Farooque. We are very grateful to our alumni friends and families who have donated generously for this cause. The lab will be unveiled in December 2019.

A comprehensive programme of various life saving courses designed for final year students. This programme was the brain child of Dr Irfan Farooque who in the last few days of his life, collaborated with organisers of this course, to secure the best deal for KMDC students. The objective is to equip our students with resuscitation and life saving skills and to make them ready to deal with such situations competently during their clinical practice. The programme will include lectures and hand on practicals for BLS, ATLS, ALS, and PALS. Small group sessions will be held with 4 sessions being held each week for 20 weeks.
